Dirk van Haaren

Dirk Johannes van Haaren (* April 21, 1878 in Amsterdam, † June 30, 1953 ) was a Dutch painter.

Dirk Johannes van Haaren lived and worked in Amsterdam as well as in Sloten, North Holland. He was self-taught and painted watercolors and oil paintings. He is regarded as the successor of the Hague School. His works include landscapes, which have had water, windmills and cattle are shown views of the city of Amsterdam and horses with riders.

He was a member of several art associations, including Arti et Amicitiae and St. Lucas, both in Amsterdam.
