Dirk Verbeuren

Dirk Verbeuren (* 1975 in Wilrijk, Belgium) is a Belgian drummer.

Biography

Verbeuren began to deal with music already in elementary school, he played violin for seven years. His family moved in 1988 to Paris, where he studied piano and electric guitar. In 1991, he discovered his talent as a drummer and started playing with other musicians.

In 1993 he moved to learn percussion at the Music Academy International (MAI ) to Nancy. In October of the same year he founded together with guitarist Patrick Martin thrash metal band Scarve. He was also drum teacher at the MAI.

At times, he worked as a session drummer for various metal bands like Soilwork, Sybreed or Lyzanxia. He is now a regular drummer of Soilwork, Scarve and One Way Mirror.
