Dmitry Likhachov

Dmitry Sergeyevich Likhachev (. Russian Дмитрий Сергеевич Лихачёв, * 15.jul / November 28 1906greg in Saint Petersburg, . † September 30, 1999 in Saint Petersburg ) was a Russian philologist and Slavic studies, member of the Russian and Soviet Academy of Sciences.

Likhachev wrote a large number of studies on the history of Russian literature, primarily in the Old Russian period. Epoch-making for the Slavonic was his monograph on textual criticism, which deals with issues of editorial techniques.
