Docimus

Dokimos (Greek Δόκιμος; † 301-282 BC) was a Macedonian general during the Diadochenkriege of the 4th century BC.

Dokimos took in all likelihood part of the Asia campaign of Alexander the Great. After his death in 323 BC he was a supporter of the Imperial regent Perdiccas. From this he was appointed BC satrap of Babylon 321, for which he, however, only had to fight the unreliable incumbent Archon military. After the end of Perdiccas he had to give Babylon had appointed for the winner of the first Diadochenkrieges at the conference of the Triparadeisos General Seleucus satrap. Dokimos spoke the Greek Eumenes from the leadership of the Perdikkaner Group and joined instead of the outlawed Alcetes, with whom he but 319 BC in Pisidia against Antigonus Monophthalmos defeated ( Battle of Kretopolis ) and got into his captivity. Together with his colleagues Philotas and Attalus, he managed 316 BC to take over after a revolt control of the castle rock in which they were incarcerated.
