Doľany, LevoÄa District
Doľany ( Lichtau German, Hungarian Dolyan ) is a town about 8 kilometers west of the city Levoča in eastern Slovakia.
It was first mentioned in writing in 1314 and comprises the main town Doľany ( German Lichtau ) and the independent city until 1924 Roškovce ( German Roschkotz ). The place Končany, today a part of the community Klčov, was from 1882 to 1900 a part of the community, this was why at this time the official name Koncsándolyán.
The town has a Roman Catholic church is from the 18th century ( consecrated to the Archangel Michael ).
