Dolné Trhovište

Dolné Trhovište ( until 1948 slovak " Dolné Vasardice "; Unterwascharditz German, Hungarian Alsóvásárd ) is a municipality in Slovakia. It is located in the southwestern parts of the hill country Nitrianska pahorkatina in the lowlands of Trhovišter creek.

The place is mentioned in 1156 for the first time in writing as Vasar / Vascard and belonged under various noble families since 1214 to reign the castle Neutra; the population was employed over the centuries mainly in agriculture.

To the municipality of the westernmost and 1902 is my finished site Jelenová heard ( German Gelenau ).

Worth seeing is the Catholic Church of Saint George is from the first third of the 13th century originally Romanesque style; this was changed in the 17th and 18th centuries. In the district Jelenová is a mansion from the first half of the 19th century, which was renewed in the 20th century.
