History

Domacyno (older forms of the name: Dammitzin, Dumbzin ) was originally a manor. It had been found in 1243 in the possession of Gerhard von Damitz and was regarded as the oldest ancestral home of the Damitz family. To 1804, the estate was in the possession of Captain Otto Heinrich Albrecht of Borcke, which it in 1817 to his son, the General of Robel left behind. To the manor belonged to the Vorwerk Heinrichsfelde and a brickyard. To 1867 there were in the village Dumzin a school and 17 homes, and it lived 240 inhabitants in 39 families.

Before 1945 Dumzin belonged to the district of Kolberg- Körlin in the administrative district of Pomerania Pomerania. Towards the end of the Second World War, the region was occupied in May 1945 by the Red Army and then put together with all Pomerania under Polish administration. Dumzin received the Polish name Domacyno. The village is now a part of the urban and rural Karlino in Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Parish
