Domašín (Chomutov District)

Domašín ( German Tomitschan ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic and is located about six kilometers north of Klášterec nad Ohri on the southern slopes of the Ore Mountains.

History

The origin of the village name comes from the proper name Domaslav ( Domas ) and designated Domašův yard. The village was also Thomaczin, Tometschen, Domaczino, Tamiczow and called with the official German designation Tomitschan.

The first written record dates from 1431st At that time the property between Aletsch and Wilhelm von Schoenburg was divided under a contract. Each of it fell to one-half of the village. In 1449 it was bought by William of Ileburg as part of the reign of New Schoenburg, but already in 1453 he joined it to his creditors the brothers of Vitzthum, Andreas von Kauffungen and Nicholas Pflugk from. 1552 Bohuslav Felix Lobkowicz got to buy royal consent Werndorf ( Vernéřov ) and the Erbdörfer the Schönburger. From this point, the village of the reign of Werndorf belonged. The Lobkowicz lost the village in 1594, as was George Popel of Lobkowicz the Emperor Rudolf II in disgrace and his property was confiscated. 1606 sold the royal treasury the village to Elias Schmidtgräbner of Lustenegg, the Erbeigentümer was. Because of his participation in the Battle of White Mountain in 1622 were confiscated his goods and passed on to Jaroslav Borsita Count of Martinic. Tomitschan was from the mid-19th century part of the district Luditz.

Economy

Since the 14th century agates were collected in place by Italian prospectors that were used for mosaics. 1623 began in the village of viticulture. However, the majority of the population was engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry. From the beginning of the 18th century de a weapons factory was by Wenzel Ernst Margrave of Bayreuth furnished. This led since 1766 the Champion Johann Wenzel Nitsch.

The municipality consists of the villages Domašín Domašín ( Tomitschan ) Louchov ( Lauchagrund ), Nová Víska ( Neudörfel b. Reisch village) and Petlery ( beggars ). Basic settlement units are Domašín, Louchov, Nová Víska, Petlery and Podmilesy ( Pöllma ) .. To Domašín also includes the deserted village Krčma ( Kretscham ).

The municipality is divided into the Katastralbezirke Domašín u nad Ohri Klášterce, Louchov, Nová Víska u Domašína, Petlery and Podmilesy
