Geography

The town is located 10 km east of Neisse, 200-240 m above sea level. The upper and low- village flows through the village stream that comes from the Opper Strand underground and behind Kaundorf flows in the river Neisse.

History

Finds from the Old, Middle and New Stone Age point to the early settlement of this area. The village was certainly created before 1249 as a purely German settlement " on green meadow "; In 1253 it was first mentioned as " Rucker Walde" documentary. 1284, it is among the known 65 villages (see in Biała Nyska ).
