Dominique Fernandez

Dominique Fernandez ( born August 25, 1929 in Neuilly -sur -Seine, Hauts -de -Seine ) is a French author.

Life

Fernandez is the son of the French literary critic Ramon Fernandez. After school, Fernandez studied in Italy. After studying Fernandez taught in 1957 and 1958, initially for the French language at a French Institute in Naples. 1968 Fernandez reached his Ph.D. and wrote his dissertation on the Italian writer Cesare Pavese. His appointment in Naples was terminated because he had informed of the communist author Roger Vailland. Fernandez returned to France, where he taught the Italian language at a school in Rennes. He got a job as a university lecturer at the University of Rennes. As an author, Fernandez wrote several books. 1982 Fernandez won the French literature prize. Fernandez is a member of the Académie française. 1961 married Diane Fernandez Jacquin de Margerie and has a daughter with her. 1971 had divorced Fernandez. Since the 1970 Fernandez lives openly homosexual.
