Dominique Folloroux-Ouattara
Dominique Ouattara, born Dominique Nouvian, widow, Dominique Folloroux, ( born December 16, 1953 in Constantine, Algeria) is a French- Ivorian entrepreneur and wife of Alassane Ouattara, President of Ivory Coast. Since 2010 she has Première lady of Ivory Coast.
Life
Dominique Ouattara was born in what was then French Algeria, the daughter of a French Pied- noir family. Representations that she was Jewish- Sephardic ancestry, are unassigned, but are common in blogs and comments, and have occasionally been taken over by the tabloids. In Dominique Outtaras official blog, the assertion is, however, referred to as " false rumor ".
In 1973, she married her first husband a French teacher, with whom she went to the Ivory Coast in 1975. He died in 1983. From the marriage she has two children. After working for the local office of the United Nations, she ran from 1979 first in Africa and later in France, a rapidly growing management and real estate companies that l' AICI Group and was wealthy as a real estate agent. In the 1980s, she became a close friend of the first President of Côte d'Ivoire Félix Houphouët- Boigny, whose business and real estate they managed, as well as the corrupt Gabonese President Omar Bongo.
