Don Barnes

Don Barnes ( born December 3, 1952) is an American southern rock singer, guitarist and composer. He also still plays piano, harmonica, mandolin and slide guitar. He is a founder and member of the Southern rock band 38 Special. Barnes has sung many big hits, such as "Rockin ' into the Night, " "Hold On Loosely, " "Caught Up in You, " " If I'd Been the One, " " Back Where You Belong " and " Like No Other Night and many more.

Barnes left the band after the album from 1986 " Strength in Numbers " and was replaced by Max Carl.

He released an eponymous solo album in 1989, with musicians such as Jeff Porcaro of Toto and Dann Huff.

He joined 38 Special in the 1990s and has since remained in again with them.
