Don Branson

Donald "Don" Branson ( * June 6, 1920 in Rantoul, † November 12, 1966 in Ascot ) was an American race car driver

Don Branson started his career twice in the 500 miles of Indianapolis, which were evaluated from 1950 to 1960 as a World Cup race of the Formula 1. In 1959, he resigned during his first appearance on a Phillips - Offenhauser in the 112th round with a defect on the rotary stabilizer. The following year he was again with a Phillips Offenhauser at the start. Going into the race from eighth place on the grid, he reached the fourth place in his only placing in the points of the formula 1 and three points for the world championship of the driver.
