Donald Burgess

Christopher Donald "Don" Burgess ( born February 8, 1933, Hendon ) is a British former racing cyclist.

Don Burgess started twice at the Olympic Games in the team pursuit. In 1952, he won jointly with Ronald Stretton, Alan Newton, George Newberry and the bronze medal. Four years later, at the Games in Melbourne, he was awarded the British team (Mike Gambrill, Tom Simpson and John Geddes ) again others. Thus, the British team won for the sixth time in succession at the Olympic Games in the team pursuit bronze medal.

1959 Burgess started with Peter Brotherton during the Six Day races in Melbourne and finished third.
