Donboli

The Dimili, Dunbuli or Dumbulî are a tribe in northern and central Kurdistan. In the Scherefname the Dimili are mentioned to the north of Lake Urmia under the kurmandschisprachigen Kurds tribes of the region. They should Dunbulîye Boxtî ( dt: The Dunbulî from Botan ), have been called, the present province of Sirnak.

Language

Dimili is used in linguistics as a synonym for Zazaki because the Dimili Kurds speak in the province of Şanlıurfa Zazaki. In northern Iraq, and Erzurum, however, they speak the Kurmanji. The situation in the province of West Azerbaijan hand, looks quite different from living there Dimili Shiite Kurds are assimilated linguistically, according to Vladimir Fedorovich Minorski since the 18th century and currently speak only Turkish.

Religion

According Şerefhan the Dimili were originally Yazidi, who had converted to Islam. Consequently, the Dimili in northern Iraq are still Yazidis, while professing in West Azerbaijan to Shi'ism. About the Shafi'i Dimili Kurds in Northern Kurdistan says Martin van Bruinessen that she expresses are orthodox and even designate the Hanafis as infidels.
