Donebach is a district of Mudau in the Odenwald, with around 370 inhabitants.

Geography

History

Donebach began in the 11th century as a clearing settlement of the monastery in the valley basin of the same name Amorbach Bach Donebach (done means noise). 1462 the place was called " Thonbach ". From 1585 to 1925 it was known as Dumbach, but was then renamed back to the first recorded in 1271 in a document titled Done Bach.

In 1495 there were about 80 people in Donebach. In 1750, there were 145 inhabitants and it is a guest house named have given " to Ross ."
