Doug Lawrence (jazz)

Doug Lawrence ( born October 11, 1956 in Lake Charles) is an American jazz musician who currently resides in Albuquerque.

Lawrence has more than 20 years as a saxophonist and has at the time worked with some well known artists such as Tony Bennett, Aretha Franklin, Nancy Wilson, Benny Goodman, Ray Charles, Rosemary Clooney, Sarah Vaughan, Buck Clayton, Ella Fitzgerald, Roy Eldridge, Benny Carter, Bobby Short. Currently, he plays saxophone in the Count Basie Orchestra, with which he was already on a world tour.
