Doug Lefler

Doug Lefler (* in California, USA) is an American film director, screenwriter and storyboard artist.

Lefler was born in Southern California and our own videos or films began to turn at the age of 12 years. He visited with 17 the California Institute of the Art for two years, on the Tim Burton, John Lasseter, John Musker and Brad Bird as well as studied. He then worked for several years as a storyboard artist for Disney. In 1987 he wrote the screenplay for the movie Steel Dawn - The scent of the winner. His first experience as a director, he was an assistant director in Sam Raimi Army of Darkness 1991. Thereafter he turned more episodes of various television series. He became famous for the movies Dragonheart - A New Beginning (2000), the sequel to Rob Cohen's Dragonheart, and The Last Legion (2007).
