Douglas Everett (ice hockey)

Douglas Newton " Doug " Everett ( born April 3, 1905 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, † September 14, 1996 in Concord, New Hampshire ) was an American professional ice hockey player.

Career

Doug Everett began his career as a hockey player at Dartmouth College, where he graduated in 1926. In amateur hockey he played for the Boston University Club and the Concord Hockey Club. Following his hockey career, he worked as a banker. In 1974 he was inducted into the United States Hockey Hall of Fame. In his honor, was the local ice rink in Concord the name Douglas N. Everett Ice Skating Arena.

Internationally

For the USA, Everett took part in the 1932 Olympics in Lake Placid, where he won the silver medal with his team. He scored four goals in five games.
