Douglastown

Douglas Town is a village in the Scottish unitary authority Angus and traditional Scottish county of Forfarshire. It is about 36 km north-east of Perth and 16 km north of Dundee located at the foot of Sidlaw Hills. The nearest town is located four kilometers to the northeast Forfar. Along the western Ortsrands runs the Bach Kerbet Water, which opens two kilometers north into the Dean Water.

Douglas Town developed around a flat mill was founded in 1792. This was operated by the mathematician James Ivory. End of the 19th century, the school of the Parish was in Douglas Town.

Traffic

Douglas Town is situated just off the A94, which connects Perth with Forfar. In Douglas Town also opens the one coming from Arbroath B9127 to the A94. With the airports of Perth and Dundee are two airports within a radius of 30 km.
