Dove (crater)

Dove is an impact crater in the southern lunar front side, east of the crater Spallanzani and west of Lockyer. The crater is heavily eroded and layered in its southern part of the secondary craters Dove C.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the German physicist Heinrich Wilhelm Dove.
