Dr. Reddy 's Laboratories Ltd.. is a mid- major internationally active pharmaceutical manufacturers from Hyderabad, India. The company was founded by Kallam Anji Reddy in 1984. Dr. Reddy's main business is the production of generic drugs, but it also operates research themselves. The drugs produced are sold in India and other developing countries. After expiry of the patent term, the active ingredients are also sold in the United States and Western Europe.

Dr. Reddy's had a license from MSD Sharp & Dohme for the production of a generic version of the drug simvastatin ( Zocor ) for the USA over the period of 180 days before expiration of the patent term.

In February 2006, the Augsburg Generics Group Beta Pharm was sold for 480 million euros at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories.
