Dracocephalum rupestre

The rock -Dragon Head ( Dracocephalum rupestre ) is a plant of the genus rockfish ( Dracocephalum ) in the mint family ( Lamiaceae).

Description

The rock -Dragon Head is a perennial, herbaceous plant, the plant height between 15 and 40 ( rarely to 60 ) reaches centimeters. The stem of the middle stem leaves is 2 to 6 inches long. The Grundblattspreite is triangular - ovate. The crown is 35 to 40 millimeters long.

The flowering period extends from July to September.

Dissemination

The species occurs in Western China prior to the alpine grasslands and forest clearings at altitude 700-3100 meters.

Use

The rock -Dragon Head is rarely used as an ornamental plant for rock gardens.
