Dragon Island

Dragon Iceland is an island in the Hauraki Gulf off of the North Island of New Zealand. It lies off the northeast coast of Great Barrier Island, 95 km north-east of Auckland.

The island protects the bay Harataonga Bay on Great Barrier Iceland from eastern and south-easterly winds. The island itself is in relatively calm water, as it is within the scope of the larger island Rakitu Iceland in the north of Iceland Dragon.

The island is private property and was formerly used for agriculture. Today it is verbuscht.
