Drive By is a song by American band Train. It was first published 10 January 2012 under the label Columbia and Sony. The song was written by lead singer Patrick Monahan and the Norwegian songwriter duo Espen Lind and Amund Bjørklund, who wrote in 2010 for the hit Train Hey, Soul Sister. Drive By placed in the United States on the 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was the third top - ten hit of the group in the U.S.. In the U.S. the song with over 1,000,000 units sold was also awarded a platinum record. Internationally, the song in 13 countries, became a Top Ten hit. In Switzerland, the song for the group even became a number one hit.
Reception
The song received generally positive reviews. Billboard Magazine wrote:
