Dromore West

Dromore West ( Irish: An Droim Thiar Mór ) is a village near the Atlantic coast in County Sligo in the west of Ireland.

Dromore West is located at Dunneil River, between the Ox Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, about midway between the 22 km from Dromore West Ballina remote (Co. Mayo ) and Sligo Town at the junction of the R297 regional road in the national road N59. The number of inhabitants of Dromore ( urban area) was determined at the Census of 2006 445 people, the population of the entire Dromore West rural area in 2006 amounted to 6832 people.

On bank holiday weekend takes place in August every year instead of a local festival in Dromore West.
