Drottnar

Drottnar is a metal band from Norway with Christian members and texts. The style can be described as technical, chaotic and progressive, but is purely musical assigned to the Black Metal.

A special feature of Drottnar has for some years the stylistic use of Soviet elements: The song titles and lyrics Soviet contain sounding concepts and metaphors, the songs contain radio play elements that are reminiscent of the 20th century and at concerts wearing all the band members Soviet or East German uniforms.

Biography

The band was founded in 1996 under the name " Vitality". In 1997 the first demo Doom of Antichrist was published, the style was based on Death Metal.

In 1998, she called themselves into " Drottnar " and released a second demo, entitled A White Realm. Here, the music evolved toward Black and Viking Metal.

These two demos were re-released in 2000 on a CD entitled Spiritual Battle.

In 2003, a new EP called anamorphosis was recorded and released on the label Momentum Scandinavia. The style had changed once again shows the band is playing very chaotic, technical black metal. On keyboards has been omitted here, for it was a violin used. The EP was limited to 850 pieces.

In the meantime, the band moved to Endtime Productions and began recording their first album. For promotion purposes, a 7 " LP called Ad Hoc Revolt published, it contained two new songs. Here, the band used for the first time her " was in February 2006 Soviet " style. The album Welter work appeared in April 2006. Followed the style of Anamorphosis, but was even more progressive, experimental and partially contained bonds of old Extol CDs.

Supported in November 2006 " Drottnar " members so far the only concert of " Unblack " Metal - founder of " Horde " at the Nordic hard as a session musician. They covered their faces with balaclavas in order not to be recognized and the "myth" to " horde " maintain.
