Style

Extols music can be described at the beginning as Progressive Death / Thrash Metal, which also had elements from the Black Metal. Your complicated, technical style of play was up to the last album their trademark. Partial reminds Extol to the band Believer or Watchtower (especially the album " Synergy "). Removes remembers their music to a mixture of Death and Opeth. The music combines heaviness and melody, sometimes flavored with violin and keyboard solos. The later albums were orientated more on thrash metal, while the band more akin to the last album of progressive pop bands like Radiohead or the alternative metal band Tool or Deftones. Instead guttural vocals are here for the first time clear voice to be heard.
