The drupa (formerly also Drupa, abbreviation of printing and paper) is the world's largest trade fair for the print media. It is regarded as the most important exhibition of the printing and media industry. The fair takes place since 1951 every 4 to 5 years in Dusseldorf instead, the next time from 31 May to 10 June 2016.

Exhibition content

At drupa printing and media processes ( systems, supplies ), printing machinery ( equipment and accessories ), book binding / processing (machinery, equipment, accessories ), paper processing (machinery, equipment, accessories ), materials / consumables and related services offered. History

Before the start of the Second World War, the last print trade show in 1938 was held in Leipzig Bugra - house. In 1951, then launched the Drupa. In 1967, she was introduced by Karl Schiller and drupa President Hubert Sternberg. In 1972, the 6th International Fair for Printing and Paper was first held in the new exhibition center in Dusseldorf -Stockum instead.

The proportion of foreigners of visitors increased by 20 percent ( 1972) to 60 percent ( 2012). On the part of the exhibitors came from Germany and 613 1231 from abroad in the last drupa.

Drupa songs

1986 was first composed a piece of music to a drupa. Since 2000, there are at any event a so-called drupa song. The song was sung in 2012 by Dirk Zeisler.
