Drymen

Drymen ( Scottish Gaelic: Druiminn ) is a village with about 760 inhabitants ( 2004 estimate ) in the municipality of Stirling in Scotland. It lies west of the Campsie Fells overlooking the Ben Goyne in the east and Loch Lomond in the West. The Queen Elizabeth Forest Park extends to the village. The entire area is part of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the first National Park in Scotland.

Often stay walkers of the West Highland Way Drymen. There are several pubs and a supermarket. The pub, The Clachan in Drymen indicates to be the oldest pub in Scotland and to have family connections to Robert Roy MacGregor.

The majority of the population commutes to work in Glasgow, the rest works mainly in agriculture. Every year in early summer, there is an agricultural show in the fields on the River Endrick.
