Dunbar Ridge is a narrow, 10 nautical miles ( about 18.5 km) long mountain ridge in the West Antarctic Heritage Range. The ridge stretches from north to south-east direction and separates the Balish Glacier in the west by the Schneider glacier in the east. At the southern tip is the 1,670 m high peak Hessler.

Dunbar Ridge got its name from a research expedition from the University of Minnesota summer 1963/64, that the crest to Warrant Officer William Dunbar named, a maintenance officer of the 62nd Transportation Detachment, who was the expedition to assist you.
