Duncan Jones

Duncan Zowie Haywood Jones (* May 30 1971 in Beckenham, Kent ) is a British film director. He is the son of David Bowie as well as Zowie Bowie or Joey Bowie known.

Life

Duncan Jones is the child of David Bowie by Angela Barnett. After their divorce in the early 1980s Bowie was awarded sole custody. Duncan grew up as a child in Berlin, London and Vevey, Switzerland, where he respectively the Commonwealth American School visited. At 14, he came to the Scottish boarding school Gordonstoun. In 1995 he received a bachelor's degree in philosophy at the College of Wooster. The doctorate at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee, he broke off and studied directing at the London Film School.

Movies

His first feature film Moon came on 15 July 2010 in the German cinemas and has been honored with many awards. Source Code, his second film, launched on June 2, 2011 in the German cinemas. His next film is also located in the science fiction genre and be a homage to Blade Runner. In January 2013 it was announced that Jones has signed as a director for the World of Warcraft movie.
