Dunedin Technical

Dunedin Technical, known locally as " Tech", is a semi - professional football club in New Zealand, Dunedin. He plays 2010 in the South Football Premier League.

History

The club was founded in 1920 as King Edward Technical College Old Boys and changed the name in 1980. The home stadium is Culling Park in the suburb of Saint Kilda.

The club reached several times the upper echelons of the Chatham Cup, New Zealand's highest competition in the elimination heat, and reached four times the final, where he always met with a team from Auckland. The only title win was in 1999 when they beat Waitakere City 4-0. They lost the finals in 1964, 1998 and 2008.

The best season of Dunedin Technical in the New Zealand National Soccer League was in 2000, when they finished 3rd place. In the previous year they had reached the final of the National League competitions, which were held at that time in separate leagues for the North and South Islands, the winners contested the final.

Prior to the formation of the National League in 1970 were the King Edward Technical College Old Boys in 1934, 1955, 1957 and 1963 champion of the Otago region.
