Waitakere City FC is a New Zealand football club based in Waitakere, one of the most successful clubs in the country.

History

The club was founded in 1989 by the West Auckland region to represent the New Zealand National Soccer League. Initially, the club was located in Western Springs, but in 1991 was followed by a merger with Massey AFC and the club moved to the Fred Taylor Park in Waitakere, where he plays today. 1990 Waitakere City first won the New Zealand Championship, more titles followed in 1992, 1995, 1996 and 1997. 1994, the club also won the Catham Cup, 1995 and 1996 was also the cup competition in New Zealand can be obtained.
