Duong Hong Son ( born November 20, 1982 in the province of Nghe An) is a Vietnamese football goalkeeper. Since 2008, he is the current champion Vietnamese T & T Hà Nội under contract.

Career

Association

Hồng Sơn played between 2004 and 2007 three years PVFC Sông Lam Nghe An. He then moved in January 2008, founded only in 2006 Club T & T Ha Noi, which was first active in the highest Vietnamese league from 2008. Already for 2010, he was with the club for the first time in the club's master of the V-League after already earned fourth place in the previous year. This is the club gave access to the AFC Cup, in which they will intervene in 2011 for the first time. At the beginning of 2011, T & T won the national Super Cup. National

Since 2003 Hồng Sơn heard regularly in the squad of the Vietnamese national team. 2007 he was appointed coach of the German coach Alfred Riedl in the squad for the Asian Cup in 2007 on home soil. In Group B, the team was able to prevail as a table runner, and qualify for the next round. With Hồng Sơn as a goalkeeper they reached the quarter-finals, but where they lost to the eventual winners from Iraq with 0:2 ( 0:1). Of the four possible games of his team in the competition Hồng Sơn all graduated and thus missed any tournament minute of his team.

However, his biggest success with the Vietnamese national football team was winning the ASEAN Football Championship 2008, where Vietnam was victorious 3-2 in the final against Thailand to return game. The goalkeeper was subsequently voted the best player of the tournament.

In January 2010, the goalkeeper for the national team caused a stir when he the away trip to the World Cup qualification match against Lebanon could not compete with due to a lost passport and national coach Henrique Calisto had to do without him.

2010, the goalkeeper was called back into the squad for the ASEAN Football Championship 2010. There, the team reached the semi-finals, where they retired after 0:2 and 0:0 against the Malaysian selection. After errors by Hồng Sơn he was diagnosed as one of the culprits for the resignation.

  • In a survey of Goal.com Hồng Sơn was elected in the summer of 2009 at number eight of the currently best Asian goalkeeper. Number one is the Australian Mark Schwarzer.
