Dvorce (Slovakia)

Dvorce ( German Buergerhof ) is a former village in Okres Kežmarok ( Prešov kraj ) in eastern Slovakia.

The village consisted of farmsteads, lying about 20 km from Kežmarok ( German: Kesmark ) and about 8 km from Levoča ( German: Leutschau ) in the Levočské Bergen ( slovak: Levočské Hills ) and was part of the former Czechoslovakia.

During the Second World War, the inhabitants were expelled. Those who survived were largely expelled to Germany. No single residents could return today to his house and his home.

After the Second World War, the area was occupied by the Red Army, heavily mined and restricted area. Dvorce was since 1953 part of the training area Dvorce (Slovakia ) in the Military District Javorina. After the abolition of the military district in early 2011, the territory of the former place of Levoča was slammed.
