The company operates as an energy company power plants and is involved in the production of natural gas and coal. 1984, the company was (later NGC Corporation) founded under the name Natural Gas Clearinghouse. 2001 failed takeover of the company Enron. 2004 Energy sold the company Illinois Power Company to the U.S. company Ameren.
