Earl Alfred Boyea, Jr.

Earl Alfred Boyea ( born April 10, 1951 in Pontiac ) is an American clergyman and bishop of Lansing.

Life

The auxiliary bishop in Detroit, Joseph Leopold Imesch, ordained him a priest on 20 May 1978.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 22 July 2002 as Auxiliary Bishop of Detroit and Titular Bishop of Siccenna. The Archbishop of Detroit, Adam Joseph Cardinal Maida, donated to him on 13 September of the same year the episcopal ordination; Timothy Paul Andrew Broglio were co-consecrators, Apostolic Nuncio to the Dominican Republic, and Thomas Joseph Tobin, Bishop of Youngstown.

On 27 February 2008 he was appointed Bishop of Lansing and introduced into the office on April 29th of the same year.
