East 17

East 17 is a British boy band that was as a kind of proletarian antidote to Take That in the 1990s, extremely successful. Named after its origin, the East End of London or the postcode for Walthamstow, they in Britain and Germany had a number of hits, including House of Love (1992 ), It's Alright (1994 ), Stay Another Day ( 1994), Thunder ( 1995) and If You Ever (1996 ) - a duet with the singer Gabrielle.

After a scandal over the drug abuse of singer Brian Harvey 's career was abruptly ended the group. Under the name E- 17, the boy band attempted a comeback in 1998, which was unable to repeat his earlier successes, however.

Comeback 2008-2012

On February 29, 2008 East gave 17 ( Cast: Brian Harvey, John Hendy, Terry Coldwell ) for the first time in many years a Germany concert in Düsseldorf Nachtresidenz. Due to the success they came for a club tour back to Germany. Stations were Dusseldorf, Leipzig and Garmisch -Partenkirchen ( Zugspitze ).

On 17 February 2010, Brian Harvey taught with a statement on east- 17.de to his fans and confirmed the rumors about the final separation of the group. He was on 24 April 2010 a large East 17 Greatest Hits farewell concert at the Night Club Style in Mülheim / Ruhr. Harvey published March 7, 2012, his single Going Backwardz.

Since Brian Harvey was supposed to not appeared on the band rehearsals, he was replaced by Blair Dreelan. 2011 T-Mobile used the song House of Love, which is a new generation of fans caused. In April 2011 it was announced that East 17 want to tour with Blair Dreelan in August and September 2011 with the Back to the Future UK tour to promote their comeback single Secret of My Life. The single was ranked 20th in the British charts. 28 September 2011 Dreelan left the group because of other contractual obligations.

The fifth studio album Dark Light by East 17 was published in 2012, together with a new single I Can not Get You Off My Mind.
