East Berbice-Corentyne

East Berbice - Corentyne is the eastern region of Guyana. It is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the north, Suriname to the east, Brazil to the south and the Mahaica - Berbice region, Upper Demerara - Berbice, Potaro - Siparuni and Upper Takutu - Upper Essequibo in the West. In the region there are the cities of New Amsterdam, Corriverton, Mara and Rose Hall.

The Corantijn is the natural border with Suriname, in its southern course, there are the so-called New River Triangle with Suriname border conflicts.
