Eckert (crater)

Eckert is a very small, off -lying impact craters in the northern part of the Mare Crisium. It forms a circular pit in the dark surface of the surrounding Mare. To the west you can see in the surface contours of a sea back, however, we can clearly see only under oblique sunlight. Crater of some importance in the vicinity are in the west-northwest direction Peirce and Picard in the southwest. These two craters also lie in the basin of Mare Crisium.
