Econometrica is one of the leading economics journals. It is published since 1933 of the Econometric Society and is published bimonthly. Currently ( 2009), Stephen Morris its editor. Despite its name, not only econometric articles are published in the journal.

Reception

In the magazine list of the Handelsblatt Ranking Economics ( 2008) Econometrica is classified in the highest category and is among the five leading economic journals. The magazine ranking of the British Association of Business Schools ( 2010) classifies it in the best category 4 * a.

The Impact Factor of Econometrica was in 2012 at 3,823. According to the statistics of the Social Sciences Citation Index, the magazine heard with this impact factor among the five most frequently cited journals in economics. In the category of Mathematical Methods Econometrica was performed on 2 out of 45 journals.
