Eddie Santiago

Eddie Santiago; actually Eduardo Santiago Rodríguez ( born August 18, 1961 in Toa Alta, Puerto Rico ) is a Puerto Rican salsa musician.

Career

Even in his early youth, Eddie Santiago enthusiastic for the salsa music. Later, he joined various bands as Generación 2000, Orquesta La Potente, Orquesta Opus, and the Orquesta Saragüey. 1984, he began his career as a solo artist in Puerto Rico and other Latin American countries, with hits like Tú me quemas, Qué Locura Enamorarme de Ti, Me Fallaste, Antidoto y Veneno, Jamás, Tu Me Haces Falta Todo empezó and its greatest success Lluvia. In the 1980s and 1990s, he was in the United States and Europe with the most famous salsa artists. He is together with Lalo Rodriguez, Pedro Conga, David Pabon, Galy Galiano, Luis Enrique, etc. one of the main representatives of style "Salsa Romantica " or "Salsa Erótica ".

Eddie Santiago initially worked with Sony Music, and later had recording contracts with the labels Rodven Records, PolyGram, TH, EMI Latin and MP.
