Eddy Leppens ( born December 3, 1969 in Lommel ) is a Belgian carom billiards player.

Private

Eddy Leppens was born in flanderischen Lommel, where he spent his childhood. He is currently married to Iris Blondeel and has two children with her named Lindsey and Romy. In December 2005 he opened his own shop Verhoeven billiard Eddy Leppens.

Career

Early years

His father was an active pool player, so Leppens took 12 for the first time a cue in his hand, and with 13 he began to take lessons. From this moment his career went from strength to. After many regional and national victories, he later rose in the rankings steadily upwards. Years 1993-2010

1993 won the Belgian Cup Leppens in the three-band, it was from then on his preferred discipline.

In 2002 he had his best-ever single average ( ED) of 5.000 with 50 balls in 10 shots. In 2004, he managed his best maximum series (HS ) with 25 balls. The following year, he set a new world record with a team average (DG ) of 2,139, were teammates Frédéric Caudron, Raimond Burgman and Johan Loncelle. All bests he scored in the three-band.

He achieved his best result so far in 2010 with the Vice World Champion title in the three-band.

2012/13 season

At the World Championships in early September in Porto Leppens be able to prevail in his first group match against the Germans Markus Dömer with 40:14, he velor the second game against Lutfi Cenet from Turkey with 34:40 and thus missed a second group the Final Tournament.
