Edgar Buchanan

William Edgar Buchanan ( born March 20, 1903 in Humansville, Missouri, † April 4, 1979 in Palm Desert, California ) was an American actor.

Life

Buchanan grew up in Oregon. He learned as his father before him, the dental profession and married in 1928, his wife also practiced as a dentist. His acting career began after the couple had moved to California in 1939. When he still got his first feature film role in the same year, he handed over his practice to his wife.
