Edgar Marcelino

Edgar Carvalhi Figueira Marcelino ( born September 10, 1984 in Coimbra ) is a Portuguese footballer who is currently under contract with AE Paphos.

Career

Edgar Marcelino began his career in the youth team of Sporting Lisbon. However, he did not make the leap into the professional team and played a single game as a professional for Sporting Lisbon. Therefore, he has been awarded to more than one team. His first hire station was the FC Penafiel, where he made his professional debut with a 1-1 draw against FC Rio Ave. He was one of the most important offensive players in the team and was thus at FC Penafiel for top players. But after one season he returned to Lisbon.

For the 2005/06 season he was loaned to the Netherlands, to the club RBC Roosendaal, but where he could not convince the right and a year later returned to Sporting Lisbon. But they announced him then his contract. Vitória Guimarães took in then under contract, but even there he could convince her and left the club just one season later. Then moved to Omonia Nicosia. At the end of the season he was told that he had talent, but had not used his chance.

In 2008, he moved to Spain to Racing de Ferrol. Only a year later, Marcelino returned to Cyprus to APOP Kinyras Peyias, where several of his compatriots were playing.

In January 2011, he returned to his homeland to GD Estoril Praia. But not even he held a year there on, he moved instead to Kawkab Marrakech Morocco.
