Edith Bliss

Edith Bliss ( born September 18, 1959 in Brisbane as Eda Bliss; † 3 May 2012) was an Australian singer and presenter.

Life

Bliss studied at the University of Queensland, before moving to Sydney in 1979. She worked as a shoe saleswoman. After an audition you received under the direction of Chris Gilbey in the same year a contract with Northern publishing and recorded several singles. Her first, in 1979 at the " GO" disk label of the Grundy Organisation published, hit single If It 's Love You Want, was written by Allan Caswell and Brian Caswell, who placed himself in the Australian top 20 and on the sampler Australian Pop of the 80s Volume 3: What's my scene is represented. They then issued two more singles, Heart of Stone, the placed to number 86 in 1980 the Australian charts, and Two Single Beds (EMI ) before 1980, their debut album Sheer Bliss came out. In 1980 she was promoted by EMI as a junior artist. 1980 began her television career in Australian television with the role of the reporter in the children's television series Simon Townsend 's Wonder World, and was one of the most popular presenters. 1984 reported Bliss and another reporter, Phillip Tanner, from Rome for the show Simon Townsend 's Wonder World.

Bliss later married the former Tonabmischer of Simon Townsend 's Wonder World, Mark Tanner, with whom she had four children.
