Edith Lefel

Édith Lefel (* November 1963 in Cayenne, French Guiana, † 20 January 2003 in Dreux, France) was a French Zouk singer.

Life

Edith Lefels mother was Guayanerin, her father came from the island of Martinique. Your first three years of life spent in French Guiana until she moved with her parents in 1966 to Martinique, where she grew up on. At 14, she came to France in the region of Paris. 1984 began her career with a Tournée in the Caribbean. In 1987 she worked with the group Malavoi whom she invited into the Zénith concert hall. In 1988, she recorded her first album La KLE, 1992 the second.

Édith Lefel was romantically involved with the singer, author and composer Ronald Rubinel with whom she had two children. Rubinel wrote numerous songs for them.

Lefel died in January 2003. She was buried at the Paris Pere Lachaise Cemetery in Division 45.
