Edouard Castres

Edouard Castres ( born June 21, 1838 in Geneva, † June 28, 1902 in Annemasse ) was a Swiss painter.

After training as enamel and ceramic painter, he took her by Barthélemy Menn lessons in oil painting. He then studied at the École des Beaux -Arts in Paris and introduced in 1868 in Geneva. His main work is the 1881 resulting Bourbaki Panorama, located since 1889 in Lucerne.
