Eduardo Saverin

Luiz Eduardo Saverin ( born March 19, 1982 in São Paulo, Brazil) is next Mark Zuckerberg, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes one of the founders of Facebook. In 2006 he received his degree in economics at Harvard University. Since 2009 he lives in Singapore.

Life

Saverin was born in Brazil and moved with his wealthy Jewish family in mid -1990 over to Miami, Florida, United States. During his last year at Harvard University, he was co-founder of Facebook. The following summer, he worked for the finance of Facebook. Due to disagreements with Zuckerberg but he distanced himself from the Silicon Valley fast-growing companies. After investors, especially PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel, the control over the financial needs of the company took over and Zuckerberg as Chief Executive Officer ( CEO) supported, Saverin lost its influence on Facebook.

His departure from Facebook was the subject of legal proceedings, which ended with a settlement in which Saverin severance pay was awarded an unknown amount. Later he was awarded the right that his name is alongside those from other founders also listed.

Saverin was before the planned IPO of Facebook, which took place on May 18, 2012 on his U.S. citizenship and was naturalized in Singapore. The reason he stated that it was more practical to be Singaporeans, because he wants to live there until further notice. Dropping his U.S. citizenship and acceptance of the Singaporean Saverin will be able to save a large amount of taxes. Saverin denied that it had gone to him about it. Saverins Share on Facebook currently stands at 6.3 percent, which corresponds to a value of several billion U.S. dollars. In the movie The Social Network, he is played by Andrew Garfield.
